Is it Summer yet?

Last Saturday Papa brought Lincoln out to breakfast and then to the Iron Dog races with Kevin and the boys. From there they went snow-machining at Kev's house. Lincoln arrived home about 5 hours later, sound asleep, with half-finished pizza in his lap. Thanks Papa for the best day in the whole world!

Cheetah girl enjoyed some playtime without her big brother

The next day I attempted to bring the kids skiing by myself! I strapped Lincoln into his cross country skis, bundled up Shiloh and sat her in the sled which I bungee strapped to my waist and off we went!

Cross country skiing is hard! Lincoln threw a fit while the truck was still in view so off came the skis and I plopped him in the sled with his sister.


They made it about 20 yards before they both jumped off in favor of playing in the snow.



Fifteen minutes later I dragged 2 screaming kids UP the hill to the truck and decided that maybe next time we'll go skiing AFTER the nap.

Fortunately the snacks waiting for us made everything slightly better

Ice Festival 2008

Last week we went to the Ice Park. I think Lincoln enjoyed the tractors that moved the ice blocks more than the actual carvings. Shiloh looked so funny with her mismatched gloves and over-bundled self and she cried every time we left one slide to head for another.
