Eating something green

Here it is. Proof that Shiloh will not wither up and lose her teeth from scurvy or some other never-eats-her-vegetables disease. She actually consumed broccoli this week. Twice! And both time she actually asked for it! When the doctors tell you "just keep putting healthy food in front of her, eventually she'll eat it" they don't tell you that their theory takes 2 years to come to fruition
I told John and Lincoln that I was going to do one quick post of just that single picture of Shiloh to commemorate the happy event and this was their sad face (since I supposedly didn't want to post a picture of them too)

I have some great shots to post of our December happenings. I'll try to do another post this week!

Getting a good Christmas card photo

Yep. It's that time of year again. Don't think for a second that getting the Christmas shot is a happy, joyful, great tradition at our house. More like a cajoling, pleading, "it's so much fun to drive mom crazy" evening of chaos. First I had Lincoln get dressed in the clothes I wanted him to wear. That part went fine. Then after finishing putting the lights on our tree, and arranging the props I went to change Shiloh into her Christmas dress. Lincoln took that time to remove all his clothes and put on his current favorite outfit which consists of a too-small camo shirt, batman pajama pants and a homemade cape. And of course the ever-present sword. I made him go change again prompting a barage of tears. Even the spider man treats I bribed him with couldn't make him smile.

During the entire shoot Shiloh kept raising both her arms up above her head every time I put the camera up to my eye! I don't know when she discovered it was fun to torture me...
Oreos helped Lincoln's attitude and so did a quick costume change:

Then John came home and it suddenly became much easier to get Lincoln to smile.

More and more I'm noticing how much Lincoln wants to be just like his Daddy. Which means that the smiling-nicely-for-pictures days are over! I just know I'll never be able to get a family picture again without someone doing the bunny ears
